about
Originally cut and mixed (in six hours flat) and intended as a rough demo for what would have been COL's third LP, as of 4/11 this rare 1994 track is culled from the Lindas' last professional studio session, the morning after a gig at Charleston, S.C.'s Music Farm. 13-Track analog tape recording produced in Savannah, GA by City of Lindas and mixed by Goeller, Hicks and Reed.
lyrics
SLEEPYHEAD:
She's half asleep and half awake / And won't get out of bed
What's wrong with her is wrong with me / She's just a sleepyhead
Try to save her from her slumber / Morpheus has pulled her under
Sounds just like the Third World War / It's loud enough to wake the dead
I thinly veil my metaphor / (And) gently try to wake my Sleepyhead
Try to save her from her slumber / Morpheus has pulled her under
Mesmerism was so easy / Now how can I wake up Sleepyhead?
Wake up Sleepyhead (Wake up)
Try to save her from her slumber / Morpheus has pulled her under
Mesmerism was so easy / Now how can I wake up Sleepyhead?
Wake up Sleepyhead (Wake up)
